Banglamung –
A 19-year-old rider has been pronounced dead at the scene after his motorbike was crashed into by a pickup truck driver not familiar with Pattaya roads in Banglamung early this morning (May 14th).
The Nongprue Police were notified of the accident at 5:00 A.M. on Phon Prapa Nimit Road in Nongprue. Police, emergency responders, and The Pattaya News arrived at the scene to find the body of the motorbike driver, Mr. Chaichana Kaewsod, 19. He had suffered significant cranial injuries leading to his death.
On the road, emergency staff found the damaged motorbike and the damaged pickup truck. The pickup truck driver, Mr. Nattapong Sisomphon, 23, was waiting uninjured for police at the scene.
Nattapong told Nongprue police that he was not familiar with the road as he does not live locally. When Nattapong arrived at the scene of the accident he admitted that he lost control of his pickup truck, plunging into the opposite lane and crashing into Chaichana.
Nongprue police are checking CCTV nearby to find the exact cause of the accident for further legal action and stated Nattapong will be interviewed for what may lead to potential serious charges relating to the fatal accident.
