Thailand reports lowest Covid-19 daily infections in the past four months, with 7,705 new cases and 62 deaths

Thailand reported the lowest Covid-19 daily infections in the past four months today, May 6th, with 7,705 daily cases and 62 new deaths, according to daily recap of the Center for Covid-19 Situation Administration (CCSA).

As confirmed by the Public Health Ministry, the number of daily infections in Thailand is significantly becoming stable and gradually declining after the Songkran festival.

The number of daily infections has also declined this week. On April 29th, the rate was at 14,053 cases while yesterday’s number was at 9,790. Moreover, this week’s fatalities are at a stable rate with an average number of 91 deaths.

Out of the 97,672 infections being treated at hospitals and field hospitals/hospitels, only 1,622 were critical patients and about 778 were on ventilators. The bed occupancy rate was at 20.1 percent out of total patients.
