Bang Lamung municipality spays pets to reduce stray animals in the Pattaya area

The Bang Lamung municipality and the Bang Lamung Livestock Development jointly launched a free pet neutering service to reduce stray animals in Bang Lamung.

The operation took place yesterday, May 5th, at Wat Prachum Khongkha, Bang Lamung, with many relevant authorities present to observe the pets and lift the veterinarian’s spirit.

Mr. Jarawat Chinnawat, Bang Lamung District Chief, stated that animal issues necessitated cooperation from all sectors because they caused inconvenience to residents. So, the goal of this operation was to stop stray animals from reproduction as well as domestic pets. He also said that sterilizing animals was beneficial because it made them healthier and less risky of getting cancers.  

TPN media notes that concerns over stray dogs across Pattaya, many of whose populations exploded during the Covid-19 restrictions and business closures over the past two years, is one of the top concerns of TPN readers.
