644 new confirmed cases of Covid-19 in Chonburi today
- 2,738 positive ATK (rapid antigen) tests were reported but all require a second confirmed PCR test before being counted as official cases. The ATK positive tests are just “possible” cases until confirmed by PCR. TPN notes, however, that second confirmed tests are no longer mandatory except for high-risk groups.
- 736 (PCR) and 4,522(ATK) recovered and were released from medical care

The Chonburi Department of Public Health announced 644 new and confirmed cases of Covid-19 today with one new death, on April 25th, 2022.
This makes a total of 102,217 cases (PCR) and 280,312 cases (ATK) of Covid-19 in the current round of infections, with 6,330 (PCR) and 37,360 (ATK) people still under medical care/supervision, and with a total of 247 recorded deaths in Chonburi since the start of this recent round of infections at the beginning of this year, January 2022.
Additionally, 736 (PCR) and 2,974 (ATK) people were also released and recovered yesterday in Chonburi. 95,640 (PCR) and 242,952 (ATK) people in total have now been released from medical care and recovered in Chonburi since this current wave of Covid-19 began at the beginning of this year, January 2022.
One person was listed as being in serious condition in Chonburi currently, either on a ventilator or with pneumonia. The person was triple vaccinated. According to the Chonburi Department of Public Health, the vast majority of recent cases are mild or asymptomatic.
The one new death was aged 79 with severe personal health problems and pre-existing conditions. The person was not vaccinated.
In total, 2,063,824 people in Pattaya and Chonburi have received their first dose of a Covid -19 vaccine which is 88.61 percent of the total Chonburi population. Of those, 308,583 have received their first dose and are what the Thai government calls 608 groups (elders, have chronic health problems, and pregnant) which is 83.42 percent of those in these risk groups in Chonburi.
991,280 people have received their triple dose which is 42.56 percent of the total Chonburi population. Of those, 178,509 are 608 groups which are 48.25 percent of those in these risk groups in Chonburi.
The district-level new cases were as follows today:
Mueang Chonburi 146, Sri Racha 192, Banglamung (Pattaya) 113, Panat Nikhom 3, Sattahip 56, Ban Bueng 19, Phan Thong 39, ฺBor Thong 9, Ko Chan 1, Nong Yai 5, Ko Si Chang 1, and 60 people transferred from other provinces for medical care.
