Our latest update:

Mr. Taksin Montontaksin, 44, a consultant from the HOG AAS Pattaya group (motorbike club) told The Pattaya News, “On April 19th, I was sleeping at night at my residence when several suspects fired gunshots into my house and my car not long before the same shooting at the Harley-Davidson shop around 4:00 A.M. Luckily, nobody was injured.”

“I have had an ongoing problem with a group of people about a Harley-Davidson motorcycle reservation, in which someone pays a “down payment” before an order is taken for specific vehicles.” Taksin explained to TPN media.

“This person is disappointed as they felt they waited for their motorbike for too long. They wanted an exception on having to pay the reservation bill for 10,000 baht. However, without this initial payment, it is impossible to secure an ordered motorbike. So I decided to pay the reservation bill for the person, however, they agreed to pay for the motorbike in full when the vehicle arrived.” Taksin explained.

“Suffice to say, this agreement was broken and the other party later demanded more money for me due to the time it was taking to order the motorcycle, which was due to factors out of my control, and the situation escalated to verbal threats and further problems.” Taksin continued.

“I told this customer not to threaten me and warned them that I can report them to the police as these people are allegedly involved with grey area online websites and illegal activity. At this point, the situation further escalated,” Taksin stated.

“I am sure the four suspects who fired at the Harley Davidson dealership and threatened the security guard, taking his phone, are in the same group as the person I have had conflicts with. I feel unsafe as they have an influential person behind them so I decided to go to the media and police as if the story is widely spread and I am injured or worse it will be clear what happened.” Taksin concluded.

Taksin declined to identify the person or people he had ongoing disputes with or who the identity of the alleged influential person was, citing it as a matter for the police as well as concerns for his safety. Pattaya Police also declined to provide further information to the Pattaya press, citing an ongoing investigation.

Pattaya Police continue to investigate the two separate shooting incidents and state that they have several leads that they are following at this time. Pattaya Police also stated they would provide further updates to TPN media when and if they become available.
