American man allegedly attacked by foreigner and Thai on Pattaya Walking Street

Pattaya –

An American man was allegedly attacked by a foreigner and a Thai woman over the past weekend on Pattaya Walking Street, according to a police report made by the alleged victim and released by Pattaya police.

On Wednesday, April 13th, Mr. Aaron L. J.(last name withheld), 55, an American national, filed a report to the Pattaya City Police. Pattaya police released the information to the local Pattaya press yesterday evening, April 14th, 2022.

Mr. Aaron told police on Saturday (April 9th) at 11:30 P.M. he was on Pattaya Walking Street.  Mr. Aaron said he was waiting to meet a female friend (who wasn’t identified) he had texted in front of a popular Walking Street live music venue when a foreign man and a Thai woman suddenly pushed him down before attacking him.

A security guard nearby stopped the assault, according to Mr. Aaron. The couple had also allegedly threatened to attack him again if they saw him. Mr. Aaron said after a few days of consideration he was afraid that the suspects were serious and would attack him again so he decided to file a report to Pattaya police to help deter future problems.

At this stage, Pattaya police believe the victim and the suspects have had previous personal problems, although these were not disclosed. However, Pattaya Police are checking CCTV footage nearby for further investigation. Pattaya Police stated that the venue where the incident took place in front of was cooperative and responded appropriately by breaking up the confrontation.

Pattaya Police did not release the name of the suspects as of press time and were gathering further evidence.
