Three-year-old Japanese boy rescued from drowning at home in Pattaya area

Pattaya –

A three-year-old boy has been rescued from drowning at a home in the Pattaya area yesterday (April 12th).

Emergency responders were notified of the incident at 5:00 P.M. at a house in a housing estate in the Huayyai sub-district.

The first response teams and The Pattaya News arrived at the scene to find the three-year-old Japanese boy, whose name was withheld by editorial policy, who had been already pulled up from the swimming pool at the house. He was rushed to a local hospital.

His relatives told emergency responders the boy went to play in the pool before he struggled in the water. They saw him before pulling him up. The boy is being treated in the ICU but now is recovering.

Pattaya Police released a short statement reminding parents during Songkran, when many children go swimming, to be alert and aware at all times of their children’s location.
