Sri Racha –

Two people died after a sedan crashed into a trailer truck in the Sri Racha district earlier this week.

The Borwin Police was notified of the accident at 2:30 A.M. yesterday, April 11th, near an intersection in the Borwin sub-district.

Emergency responders arrived at the scene to find a wrecked sedan under a large trailer truck.

Two young women were found inside the sedan. Rescue workers took half an hour to use a jaw of life to free them.

They were both pronounced dead at the scene. They have been identified as Ms. Janejira Poesri, 27, from Phetchabun, who was the driver and Ms. Kanyaphak Kamtrong, 24, the passenger.

The truck driver, Mr. Somchai Yongsakun, 49, told police, “At the intersection, the warning at the traffic light was blinking yellow. I had made sure that there was no vehicle when I turned right. The sedan driver was driving at high speed before crashing into my truck.”

However, the Borwin Police are continuing their investigation to find the cause of accident for further potential legal action.
