Fire destroys house in Chonburi, couple escapes without injuries

Chonburi –

A fire has destroyed a house made of zinc in the Mueang Chonburi district earlier this week.

Firefighters were notified of the fire at 11:30 P.M. on Monday, April 11th, in the Makham Yang sub-district.

The fire fighting teams arrived at the scene with three fire engines to find the house made of zinc was heavily ablaze. It took more than half an hour to control the fire. The house was totally destroyed.

The house owner, Mr. Sakun Emrat, 44, told TPN media “We don’t have electric at the house. My wife and I were in front of the house when I smelled something burning. We have no idea what caused the fire, as stated we don’t even use electricity. We managed to flee the house and call for assistance.”

Police are continuing their investigation to find the exact cause of the fire.
