Chonburi –

A 41-year-old former famous jump rope coach was arrested at his house in Nonthaburi for alleged child sexual abuse of three male minors in Sri Racha.

On March 23rd, parents reported a child sexual abuse of their 13-year-old boy to Sri Racha police and filed a lawsuit against Sittiphan Sawang-Sangwan or “Bank”, a 41-year-old male suspect whom the parents said had sexually abused three boys under the age of 13 to 14 including their son. Their son, whose name was withheld due to editorial policy in child sexual abuse stories, came forward to them about the alleged abuse.

Following the investigation, police from Sriracha Police Station arrested Bank on March 30th in front of his residence in the Taweewattana sub-district, Sai Noi district, Nonthaburi province. Police announced the arrest and case, however, this week to Chonburi media.

According to reports, Bank used to be a well-known jump rope coach and teacher in Thung Sukla subdistrict, Sri Racha District, Chonburi before becoming a TV drama organizer in charge of inviting 13-to-16-year-old boys to audition for drama roles. Once he became acquainted with the victims, he would allegedly lure them into sexually abusive relationships. Bank also reportedly admitted to having intercourse with one of the victims. Apart from this, seven other children in Chonburi were reportedly forced into sexual abuse by him as well previously, according to Sri Racha police.
