Four-foot-long king cobra caught in Pattaya area

Banglamung –

A four-foot-long king cobra was caught at a house in Banglamung, causing alarm for a local resident.

Rescue workers were notified of the king cobra at a house in the Khao Maikaew sub-district last night (April 4th). They and The Pattaya News arrived at the house to find the king cobra was hiding in the house.

Their ‘professional snake handling’ team took about 20 minutes to catch the king cobra. It was about four feet long.

Mr. Banlue Laowainok, 23, told TPN media, “I saw a big snake had moved, uninvited of course, into my house. My family and I were in front of the home when we noticed and we ran away from the house before calling for help.”

The king cobra will be released back to a local forest, according to the snake-catching team.

Correction notice: An original version of this article incorrectly stated the length of the cobra as four meters. It was about four feet.
