Young man brutally attacked by two motorbike riders in front of multiple witnesses in East Pattaya

East Pattaya/Nongprue-

A 21-year-old man was brutally assaulted in public earlier this week by what was described by witnesses as a pair of big bike riders in the Nong Prue sub-district, Bang Lamung, Chonburi. The suspects, after beating the young man and causing significant injuries, casually drove away after the incident.

Around midnight on Wednesday, March 23rd, the Sawang Boriboon Thammasathan Radio Rescue Center rushed to the scene of a reported assault on Mr. Suthipong Jaikla, 21, who was moaning in pain on the pavement of a side-road in Nongprue with his face and skull having suffered multiple injuries. He was then taken to the nearby hospital for immediate medical assistance.

According to multiple shocked eyewitnesses who had been nearby, Mr. Suthipong was attacked by two unidentified big bike riders, covered in tattoos, who suddenly charged at the victim and kicked and punched him in the face until he collapsed onto the ground. The witnesses said they were afraid to help the victim since the attackers constantly kept their hands on their bags, which they believed were concealing weapons. The attackers then casually drove away as if nothing had happened and ignored the group of eyewitnesses who recorded the incident on their phones.

Cell phone footage given to Nongprue police by the eyewitnesses appears to show the two suspects brutally taking turns kicking the victim in the head once he had collapsed to the ground, amongst other vicious attacks. The names of the eyewitnesses were withheld due to the sensitivity of the ongoing investigation.

Initially, Nongprue police assumed the incident was a personal dispute and requested surveillance footage from nearby security cameras to track down the suspects.

Suthipong remained in recovery at a local hospital as of press time and had yet to speak with investigators due to his injuries.
