Chonburi –

Police chased after an intoxicated shirtless man yesterday who was disrupting traffic by running through busy roadways, putting risk to both himself and others, before physically carrying him to a police station in the Mueang Chonburi district.

Frightened local residents called police after the intoxicated man was seen running, shouting, and dancing on busy roads in the Baan Suan sub-district yesterday, March 8th, 2022, in the early evening. The man refused police orders to stop and led multiple police on a foot chase through traffic. He was eventually caught, but was uncooperative and had to be physically restrained and carried to a nearby police vehicle.

The man told police his name is Mr. Yutsiri Wangwiset, 37. He told police, “I was invisible when I was in traffic, nobody actually saw me, so I didn’t commit any crimes. My magic flower makes me invisible and protects me from harm.

Yutsiri was indeed wearing a pink flower on one ear, however, it did not appear the flower was magical nor caused him to be invisible, based on photo evidence and police and witness statements.

Yutsiri was taken to the Mueang Chonburi Police Station to conduct alcohol and drug tests. At the least, he will be charged with causing a public disturbance, public intoxication, and resisting arrest.

It was not immediately clear where the supposed magic flower went following Yutsiri’s arrest.
