A Chinese man, reportedly an ex-pat, was arrested after allegedly stealing womenâs underwear at a house in Chonburi.

A team from the Saensuk Police finally identified the suspect after a series of underwear-related crimes in Chonburi. They have arrested Mr. Lin Huagua, 50, a Chinese national who works at a mechanical parts manufacturer, a Chinese-owned company, on Sukhumvit Road in the Mueang sub-district, Mueang Chonburi district. Lin lived on the property along with many other foreign workers.
Police found more than 50 pairs of womenâs underwear in his bedroom on the 4th floor of the company. Â Mr. Lin has reportedly admitted that he stole womenâs underwear across Chonburi, but did not explain his reasons for it.
Police told TPN media that Mr. Lin is facing charges of theft. He is now in custody and reportedly is unable to make bail due to a lack of funds. Saensuk police also stated that following legal procedures the case would be turned to Immigration Police to review his work permit and legal status in Thailand to likely proceed with deportation.
