The following is our weekly feature in which we ask our readers a news topical question and get their insight and opinions. We then share their feedback a week later and pick a variety of diverse and interesting responses.

This week, we want to ask: What actions, if any, should Thailand take regarding the current Ukraine/Russia situation?

Some context around this question:

The top news story in most of the world currently is the situation in Ukraine after Russia invaded the country. TPN is not an international news publication and so our coverage of the events has been strictly focused on how, if at all, the conflict will affect Thailand.

As a result, we have seen many comments on our social media of people who feel that Thailand should take a stronger stance to condemn Russia’s actions, with various suggestions and opinions on how.

Others, however, have stated that Thailand should stay out of it or is likely to do nothing.

So, what are your thoughts? SHOULD Thailand do anything further? If so, what should they do?

We look forward to hearing from you! Tell us on our social media channels, in the comments below, or if you prefer your comment to be private mail us at We will publish the results and select a variety of diverse responses early next week, as always!
