Thief snatches gold necklace from the neck of a somtam vendor in Pattaya

Pattaya –

A thief reportedly snatched a gold necklace from the neck of a somtam vendor in the Pattaya area last night, February 25th, 2022.

The Pattaya City Police were notified of the incident at 6:30 P.M. on Sukhumvit Road in Nongprue.

They arrived at the scene to find Ms. Tongsuk Duangkam, 42, a somtam vendor.

She told police, “My husband and I were on a motorbike sidecar selling somtam. We were at a pause between customers when the thief, who appeared to be a young Thai man and was on a motorbike, snatched the gold necklace from my neck and sped away.”

The exact estimated worth of the necklace was not disclosed by Tongsuk. She added that she had never seen the man in the area before.

Pattaya Police are checking CCTV footage and hunting for the suspect.
