Woman arrested in Pattaya for allegedly smoking “ice” at public laundromat, encourages police to try

Pattaya-

A female drug user has been arrested at a laundry shop in Pattaya last night for allegedly smoking methamphetamine (known as “ice” locally) in public. (February 23rd).

The Pattaya City Police were notified of the incident at the laundry shop in Soi Bongkot in Nongprue just before Midnight when another anonymous laundromat patron called police stating they were shocked at the behavior.

Pattaya City Police arrived at the scene to find the Thai woman aged around 40 who wasn’t immediately identified and did not have any documentation on her. Crystal methamphetamine was found on the table along with tools used to assist in smoking it. The woman appeared to be blatantly smoking the drug in public and made no attempt to disguise her behavior.

The woman appeared to be heavily under the influence of drugs, according to Pattaya Police and was not making sense when speaking with officers. She told police she bought crystal methamphetamine from her friend but claimed to not know how to contact her “friend” or their name.

The woman also stated she “loved” ice and the way it made her feel and invited police to take a hit with her, stating it would give them more energy. Police declined the offer.

She was taken to the Pattaya City Police Station for further legal action. She did not appear to have any laundry at the laundromat, police added.
