Trailer truck driver loses control at Laem Chabang pier and plunges into the sea, drowning in his own cab

A 32-year-old male driver has been tragically pronounced dead, drowning in his own cab, after his trailer truck fell into the sea in Sri Racha this morning (February 19th).

Emergency responders were notified of the accident this morning (February 19th) at the Laem Chabang Pier. Upon arrival at the pier, it took more than five hours for rescue workers to pull up the trailer truck with the driver, Mr. Anucha Wanthikun, 32, from Roi-Et, inside the flooded cab. He was pronounced dead at the scene, with the cause of death being drowning.

Witnesses nearby told police that Anucha was delivering a container but lost control, plunging into the sea. Police are continuing their investigation to find the exact cause of the accident and plan to review CCTV at the pier.
