Two men injured after knife fight over a woman in Sri Racha

Sri Racha –

Two men have sustained injuries after a verbal argument between the ex and current man in a young woman’s life in Sri Racha escalated to a physical confrontation with knives involved.

Emergency responders were notified of the incident last night (February 17th) at a house in the Surasak sub-district.

The first response teams arrived at the scene to find one injured man, Mr. Khemmarat Suwannachot, 23. He was bleeding heavily from multiple stab and slash wounds. After basic medical treatment at the scene, he was rushed to a hospital for further medical assistance.

Ms. Sukanya Thongkot, 27, told police, “My ex-husband Mr. Eakkachai Wongklang broke up with me about one month ago. He and our 7-year-old son, who stays with Eakkachai, went to my house to get clothes and personal belongings he had left behind.”

“My current significant other was at the house. The two men immediately began arguing which then escalated to a physical confrontation. My ex-husband (Eakkachai) was the first person to attack with a knife, stabbing and slashing my current significant other (Khemmarat) before speeding away.” Sukanya explained.

Sri Racha Police were later notified from a local hospital that Mr. Eakkachai later drove himself to a different hospital. He had sustained head and arm injuries but was not nearly as severely injured as Khemmarat.

Sri Racha Police went to the hospital where Mr. Eakkachai was receiving treatment and he was placed into custody for further legal action. Officers familiar with the investigation stated that they are reviewing Sukanya’s statement that Eakkachai was the instigator to determine the exact sequence of events.
