Ban Bueng –

A 31-year-old man has sustained injuries after he crashed his pickup truck into a larger rig in Ban Bueng.

Emergency responders were notified of the accident on the Panat Nikhom – Nong Chark Road in Nong Bondang earlier this week.

The first response teams arrived at the scene to find the damaged black pickup truck in the middle of the road. The driver, identified only by his first name, Mr. Chatchai, 31, was stuck inside the cab of the vehicle. Rescue workers used a hydraulic cutter to free him and he was taken to a local hospital with moderate injuries.

The driver of the larger rig, Mr. Kamon, 45, who was not injured, told local news reporters, “I was over taking another vehicle which was in the left lane before the pickup truck driven by Mr. Chatchai crashed into the back of my vehicle.”

Ban Bueng Police are continuing their investigation for further potential legal action.
