Buddhists in Pattaya and Banglamung area observed Makha Bucha Day yesterday, February 16th, 2022.

Thai Buddhists gathered at local temples yesterday morning, February 16th, to make merit and celebrate the occasion of Makha Bucha Day.

Many Buddhists in the Pattaya and Banglamung area also visited temples in the morning. They offered food to monks, made merit, and attended sermons.

Officials and staffers from the Takian Tia Municipality in Banglamung led by the Mayor Mr. Jaran Prakobtham visited Sang Kapeao Temple.

Meanwhile the Pattaya City Police warned local restaurants and shops not to sell and serve all kinds of alcoholic beverages on Makha Bucha Day from 00.00 AM. to 11:59 PM. TPN media notes this is a NATIONAL ban on religious holidays.
