National –
Thailand discovered a total of 15,242 daily Covid-19 infections with 23 additional deaths in the past 24 hours, the Center for Covid-19 Situation Administration (CCSA) reported today, February 11th.
The fatalities were 10 men and 13 women. All of them were Thai nationals. The age range was between 8 months and 89 years old.
Most of them were reported with underlying health conditions, including hypertension (11), diabetes (5), hyperlipidemia (6), obesity (2), and kidney disease (8). One was the fatalities was a bedridden patient.

Of the new cases, 14,885 were found in hospitals and medical services (which includes contact tracing cases), 40 were from a proactive approach at previously reported clusters, 135 were from prisons, and the remaining 182 were imported cases.
A number of 111,393 patients are still under treatment/isolation/medical care. Of that, 569 patients are in critical condition including 113 on ventilators. This is roughly 0.51 percent of cases that are critical while 19.8 percent of that is critical enough for a ventilator.
Regarding the non-prison local infections, the highest number of patients were reported in Bangkok with 3,019, followed by Samut Prakan with 979, Chonburi with 785, Nonthaburi with 615, Phuket with 412, and Samut Sakhon with 387.

A total number of 514,102 people nationwide have received Covid-19 vaccines in the past 24 hours. Of that, 46,102 people had received their first shots, 40,847 people had received their second shots, and 427,278 people had received their third shots. This is roughly 75.7% of the total Thai population who have had their first shot of a Covid-19 vaccine, 70.6% who have had a second shot and are fully vaccinated, and 24.8% have had a third booster shot.
As of today, 8,955 people fully recovered in the past 24 hours and have been released from field hospitals and quarantine centers. Thailand has now reached a total of 2,561,115 cases with 2,427,335 recoveries and a total of 22,387 deaths since the start of the pandemic.

CCSA spokesperson Taweesilp Visanuyothin stated during the daily press briefing today that the CCSA has mentioned an additional process for entering the country under the “Thailand Pass” system which is now called “Thailand Pass Hotel & Swab System” (TPHS).
International travelers are being reminded to book and purchase for the first and a second RT-PCR tests when making reservations for the SHA++ hotels. Then, they must fill out the information in the “Thailand Pass” system. All the information would be pending approval within 10-15 minutes. The additional process is, according to the CCSA, to provide more security and prevent any arrivals from escaping Covid-19 tests.
The CCSA also introduced an “Air Travel Bubble” (ATB) between Thailand and India, proposed by the Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand (CAAT). The scheme would allow limited commercial passenger services to operate in both countries, carrying passengers with requirements on such flights. It is believed to boost the business and tourism industry in Thailand. This will, however, need final Cabinet approval.
