19-year-old Pattaya motorcyclist seriously injured after reportedly having epileptic seizure while riding home this morning

A Thai motorcyclist, 19, was seriously injured after reportedly having a seizure and falling off a vehicle while driving to his accommodation in Banglamung in the early hours of this morning, February 6th.

Police officers and Sawang Boriboonthammasathan rescue workers arrived at the scene at Soi Nong Ka Bork in the Nong Prue Subdistrict around 2:00 A.M. today after being notified of an accident that involved a falling motorcyclist who was seriously injured.

Panupong Prakhomtham, 19, was found lying unconsciously in the middle of the road with a large wound on his head. Rescuers and medical teams provided first aid before taking him to Banglamung Hospital.

According to another motorcyclist named Thanathip, both of them were riding motorcycles to return to thier accommodation before Panupong reportedly had epileptic seizures and suddenly fell from the vehicle. His head knocked the road and he became unconscious.

Thanathip also told officers that the injured had previously been injured in a bicycle crash and suffered a concussion and brain injury. The injury this time may have occurred at the same area as the concussion, therefore, caused the serious injury.

Panupong was not wearing a motorcycle helmet, according to emergency services.
