Bangkok, 04 February 2022 â The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) is pleased to report that Thailand has won a number of awards from both Chinaâs tourism industry sector and leading travel media, including âmost popular and ârecommended destinationâ accolades.
Mr. Tanes Petsuwan, TAT Deputy Governor for International Marketing â Asia and South Pacific, said âBased on opinion polls that included travel agents selling Thailand as a destination and prominent consumer magazinesâ choice of content, these awards show that Thailand continues to be a popular holiday choice capturing the hearts of tourists from throughout China.â
The awards presented to Thailand include âThe Most Popular Destinationâ Award from Online Travel Agent (OTA) Thong Cheng, âThe Recommended Destination of the Yearâ Award from City Travel Magazine, the âMost Anticipated Destination â Short Haulâ Award from the Travel Weekly China Award, and â2021 The most popular overseas travel destinationâ from WITrip Magazine.
At the same time, TAT offices in China also received multiple awards for its proactive marketing and excellent industry support throughout 2021, among them âbest partnerâ and âexcellent partnerâ honors.
The awards presented to the TAT offices in China were: the â2021 The Best Partnerâ Award from OTA Fliggy, â2021 The Best Partnerâ Award from OTA Lvmama, â2021 Excellent Partnerâ Award from Tuniu, âBest Partner in 2021â Award from Juneyao Airlines, âThe Best Diversified Tourist Destinationâ Award from Traveling Scope Magazine, and the âAnnual Influence Overseas Tourism Bureauâ Award from Ydncn.com.
In China, TAT offices in Beijing, Chengdu, Guangzhou, Kunming, and Shanghai have been actively promoting Thailand through continuous cooperation with the tourism private sector in China. This has included joint promotion activities with OTAs, public relations on the progress of Thailandâs reopening to international tourism, and creating online, print content, and feature articles on Thailand and its myriad of attractions.
