42-year-old truck driver seriously injured after crashing into a parked trailer truck in Banglamung

Banglamung –

A 42-year-old truck driver has sustained serious injuries after he collided his vehicle with a parked truck outside a gas station in the Banglamung district.

Emergency responders were notified of the accident early this morning (February 4th) on the Krating Lai – Rayong (Number 36) Road in the Pong sub-district. They arrived at the scene to find two damaged trailer trucks on the road.

One of the trailer truck drivers, Mr. Somjai Salapa, 42, was stuck inside the cab of his vehicle. It took about ten minutes to free him and he was taken to a local hospital. The second truck driver, who was not identified, was uninjured.

Witnesses told rescue workers that one trailer truck driver was parked on the side of the road before the other trailer truck crashed into the parked trailer truck. It was not immediately clear if proper warning lights were in place in regards to the parked truck.

Police are continuing their investigation, including reviewing CCTV at a gas station nearby, for further legal action.
