Chonburi, led by Banglamung with 256, announces 506 new and confirmed cases of Covid-19 and no new deaths

The Chonburi Department of Public Health announced 506 new and confirmed cases of Covid-19 today with no new deaths, January 19th, 2022.

This makes a total of 12,602 cases of Covid-19 in the current round of infections, with 6,628 people still under medical care/supervision, and with a total of 11 recorded deaths in Chonburi since the start of this recent round of infections at the beginning of this year, January 2022.

Additionally, 918 people were also released and recovered yesterday in Chonburi. 5,963 people in total have now been released from medical care and recovered in Chonburi since this current wave of Covid-19 began at the beginning of this year, January 2022.
One person was listed as being in serious condition in Chonburi currently, either on a ventilator or pneumonia. The person was vaccinated. According to the Chonburi Department of Public Health, the vast majority of recent cases are mild or asymptomatic.
In total, 1,931,966 people in Pattaya and Chonburi have received their first dose of a Covid -19 vaccine which is 82.95 percent of the total Chonburi population. Of those, 300,250 have received their first dose and are what the Thai government calls 608 groups (elders, have chronic health problems, and pregnant) which is 81.16 percent of those in these risk groups in Chonburi.

The district-level new cases were as follows today:

Mueang Chonburi 56, Si Racha 94, Banglamung (Pattaya) 256, Panat Nikhom 11, Sattahip 40 (in Navy area 5), Ban Bueng 5, Phan Thong 8, ฺBor Thong 2, Ko Si Chang 2, Nong Yai 3 and 29 people transferred from other provinces for medical care.

The details on the cases are as follows:

  1. Previous “backlog” of confirmed cases in the past have just been reported by the Pattaya Memorial Hospital, 88 cases
  2. Work and stayed in Rayong, transferred from other provinces for medical care, 22 cases
  3. Active case finding at restaurants that sell alcohol in Pattaya and Banglamung, 9 cases
  4. Cluster, Graphic RT Design company in Mueang Chonburi, 3 cases
  5. Risky occupations meeting many people, 19 cases
  6. 5 medical personnel
  7. Back from other provinces 11 cases
7.1 Bangkok, 2 cases
7.2 Khon Kaen, 2 cases
7.3 Krabi, 1 case
7.4 Nakhon Nayok, 1 case
7.5 Nakhon Pathom, 1 case
7.6 Nakhon Phanom, 1 case
7.7 Nakhon Ratchasima, 1 case
7.8 Udon Thani, 1 case
7.9 Uttaradit, 1 case
8. Close contacts from previously confirmed cases in families – 93 cases, in workplaces –101 cases, close personal contacts – 21 cases, and joined a party – 20 cases
9. . Close contacts of a confirmed patient (under investigation), 11 cases
10. 103  cases close contacts of a confirmed patient (under investigation)
