One person dead, several injured and flee after violent brawl at Tree Town market area, say Pattaya Police

The Pattaya City Police this afternoon (January 3rd) have met with all Tree Town operators to discuss the incident that shocked tourists and cost the life of a 54-year-old man.

One of the operators, whose name was not given to the press, told the Pattaya News the meeting was about ensuring proper Covid- 19 measurements were followed and tourists safety. Operators have to carefully check their security guard’s background as well as close at the properly requested time.

Pattaya police have checked CCTV footage for clues and investigation. They are hunting for all suspects involved in the incident and urging the suspects to surrender.

As of press time, however, none of the multiple suspects involved had been identified or arrested and Pattaya police were being fairly tight-lipped about the investigation, citing the fact it was ongoing.

Pattaya police were also reportedly following up with nearby hospitals and medical centers as some of the men involved in the fight had also reportedly been injured and may have sought treatment for their wounds.

We will continue to release updates on this developing story.
