Newborn baby found deceased in Si Racha garbage bin

A garbage collector found a corpse of a newborn baby in Si Racha. Police have launched a search for the individual responsible.

The Nong Kham Police was notified of the discovery of a dead newborn baby in Soi Bor Yang, in the Nong Kham sub-district yesterday (December 5th).

Police and rescue workers arrived at the scene to find the body of a newborn male baby in a garbage pile. Police believe that the baby died at least three days before his body was found.

Mr. Formeen, who goes only by one name, 35, a Myanmar national who is a garbage collector from the Laem Chabang Municipality told police, “I put garbage from the bin onto my truck before I saw the dead baby. I immediately stopped our work and called law enforcement for assistance.”

Police have launched an investigation to find the baby’s mother and/or the person who dumped the child.
