Pattaya gets ready for their biggest event in a year, the Fireworks Festival

Pattaya –

The Pattaya Mayor says Pattaya is ready for the Pattaya Fireworks Festival from November 26th to November 27th,2021. This will be the biggest event in Pattaya in a year, due to many closures and Covid-19 restrictions, since the last fireworks festival in November 2020.

Mayor Sonthaya Khunplome told The Pattaya News, “We are fully ready to hold the Pattaya Fireworks Festival.

“Fireworks are currently being installed on boats in the area and event organizers are preparing to set up and decorate stages with full lights and sound.” The mayor continued.

“People who want to enter into the main event area MUST receive two doses of a Covid – 19 vaccine AND(*) must have a rapid antigen test, not more than 72 hours old. We will use the ‘Universal Prevention’ for Covid – 19 measurements as we did for the Pattaya Music Festival.” The mayor stated.

*TPN media notes that these requirements would likely only be for the direct concert stage areas as the likelihood of enforcing these requirements for the entire Pattaya beach area would be nearly impossible.  It is also unclear if just a test or vaccine proof may work for these areas as it did for the music festival. Recent events have seen these “Covid free” zones not nearly as popular as other parts of the beach or around the stages, often not just because of the vaccine rules but due to these areas not allowing food or drink and making groups of people sit apart on spaced chairs versus together.

“The Pattaya Fireworks Festival will be held this month from November 26th to November 27th. We are inviting everyone to come and see beautiful fireworks at night along a total of three kilometers from North Pattaya Beach to South Pattaya Beach.” The mayor continued.

The festival will also feature food markets, concerts from top Thai bands like Paradox, and even a skydiving show. TPN media will provide the full concert, fireworks, and event schedule along with the rules early next week.
