Phan Thong –

A 34-year-old nurse has sustained serious injuries after a pickup truck crashed into her sedan in the Phan Thong district on Sunday (October 31st).

The Phan Thong Police were notified of the accident on Suk Prayoon Road in the Marp Pong sub-district.

Emergency responders arrived at the scene to find the overturned sedan lying on its side amongst damaged power poles.

The sedan driver, Mrs. Duangphon Thammanitiwet, 34, a nurse, had sustained serious injuries and was stuck inside the sedan. She was taken to a local hospital for urgent medical assistance after being freed from her vehicle by rescue workers.

CCTV footage appears to show that the pickup truck crashed into the back of Duangphon’s vehicle, causing her to lose control and crashing into a power pole, bringing down several electricity lines. The white pickup truck driver immediately fled the scene, according to Phan Thong police.
