Pheu Thai oppositional party announces major internal executive board changes

Chonlanan Srikaew, prominent Pheu Thai MP for Nan province, was announced as the new Pheu Thai political party leader at the party’s general assembly in Khon Kaen province today, October 28th.

Meanwhile, Paetongtarn “Ing” Shinawatra, the youngest daughter of former prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra, was also appointed chief adviser of the party for innovation.

The major change of the party is to concord with the party’s new ideologies of bringing younger generations to work with experienced politicians in order to drive the party and Thai society forward.

Some members of the party’s executive board have also been slightly repositioned. Prasert Chantararuangthong would remain in his position as secretary-general. Theerarat Samrejvanich was appointed as a spokesperson while former Arunee Kasayanond was repositioned to deputy secretary-general of the party.
