Chonburi announces 375 new and confirmed cases of Covid-19 and 2 new deaths

The Chonburi Department of Public Health announced 375 new and confirmed cases of Covid-19 today with 2 new deaths, October 28th.

This makes a total of 100,158 cases of Covid-19 in the current round of infections, with 5,770 people still under medical care/supervision, and with a total of 708 recorded deaths in Chonburi since the start of this recent round of infections in early April.

Additionally, 198 people were also released and recovered yesterday in Chonburi. 93,680 people in total have now been released from medical care and recovered in Chonburi since this current wave of Covid-19 began.

As for the two new deaths yesterday, both of them were elders which they were close contacts from previous confirmed cases in families according to the Chonburi Department of Public Health. Both of them had chronic health problems. Both of them were also not vaccinated.

The district-level new cases were as follows today:

Mueang Chonburi 93, Si Racha 99, Banglamung (Pattaya) 41, Panat Nikhom 8, Sattahip 54, Ban Bueang 19, Phan Thong 17, Bot Thong 1, Ko Chan 2, Nong Yai 1, soldiers in Sattahip 11, and 29 people transferred from other provinces for medical care

  2. Cluster, soldiers in Sattahip, 11 cases
  3. Cluster, work camp of Rai Go Thong Construction and Service company in Si Racha, 10 cases
  4. Cluster, work camp of DD Life Maritime and Consultant company in Si Racha, 7 cases
  5. Cluster, Makita Manufacturing company in Si Racha, 6 cases
  6. Risky occupation, meeting a lot of people, 10 cases
  7. Cluster, B.Grimm Power Public company in Si Racha, 10 cases
  8. 5 medical staffer
  9. Back from risky areas in Rayong, 4 cases
  10. Close contacts of confirmed patients in 103 families, in 45 workplaces, 14 from close friends and one joined parties
  11. Close contact of a confirmed patient (under investigation), 19 cases
  12. 76 cases in general are under investigation as to how they contracted Covid-19
