The ceremony was held at the Chonburi Provincial Hall yesterday morning. The ceremony started with officials and attendees paying homage in front of an image of His Royal Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej The Great (Rama IX) before standing and observing silence for 89 seconds. Officials were socially distanced, wearing masks, and numbers of those attending were limited due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic.

After that officials went to the Khao ฺBangsai Temple which is one of the ‘Royal Temples’. A merit-making religious ceremony was held at the temple, also under careful Covid-19 precautions to avoid any potential spread of the disease.
