Unidentified Pattaya motorbike rider seriously injured after colliding with pickup truck during curfew

Pattaya –

An unidentified motorbike rider has sustained serious injuries after he collided his motorbike with a pickup truck at a U-turn in Banglamung during curfew time Friday night (October 8th).

The Pattaya City Police was notified of the accident at 11:00 P.M. on Sukhumvit Road in front of the Pattaya Highway Police Station in Nongprue.

Emergency responders and The Pattaya News arrived at the scene to find an injured man believed to be Thai aged around 25. He was taken to a local hospital for medical assistance.

The pickup truck driver, Mr. Ryan Copping, 18, was waiting at the scene. He was not injured.

Mr. Copping told The Pattaya News, “I was driving normally when the motorbike rider made a sudden U-turn in front of me without proper turn signals or looking both ways. I had no time to avoid the collision.

Police are checking CCTV footage to follow up on the statements made by Mr. Copping but did not file any legal charges at the time of the accident and appeared to initially agree that a sudden U-turn was a major cause.
