Banglamung welcomes new Public Health Chief

Banglamung –

Banglamung district has welcomed a brand new District Public Health Chief.

The Nongprue Municipality Deputy Mayor Mr. Wanchai Sanengam welcomed the new Banglamung District Public Health Chief Mr. Kitti Boonrattananet yesterday afternoon, October 5th. Banglamung is the district containing tourism dependent Pattaya.

Mr. Kitti is the former Sattahip District Public Health Chief. The former Banglamung District Public Health Chief is now a new Si Racha District Public Health Chief.

Deputy Mayor Wanchai told The Pattaya News, “We are glad to welcome our new Banglamung District Public Health Chief. He has been placed into this demanding role to tackle Covid-19 and problems prior to restarting foreign tourism.”

“Village health volunteers and medical staffers are now important during this current situation. We are working together to fight through the Covid -19 pandemic.” Wanchai concluded.

Mr. Kitti told reporters, “I will do my best to work for public health. We will fight through this crisis together. I understand how important Banglamung and Pattaya are to the economy and the country and will balance restarting the economy and tourism with protecting public health. With the city planning to reopen to foreign vaccinated tourists in the near future, possibly November, my focus will be on ensuring this can happen while still protecting the health of all Banglamung residents.”

Banglamung has consistently had an average of over 100 cases a day of Covid-19 for months and it is expected that bringing down these numbers prior to any reopening to wider tourism will be a top priority, notes TPN media. Continuing to accelerate Banglamung’s vaccination campaign, especially Pattaya, will also be a top priority notes TPN media.
