RECAP: Thailand finds 10,288 daily Covid-19 infections with 101 additional deaths, 175,926 new vaccinated people reported nationwide in the past 24 hours

Thailand discovered a total of 10,288 daily Covid-19 infections with 101 additional deaths in the past 24 hours, the Center for Covid-19 Situation Administration (CCSA) reported today, September 27th.

The fatalities were 56 men and 45 women with the most numbers recorded in Bangkok with 12. Of that, 98 were Thai nationals, two were Myanmar nationals, and one was a Swiss national. The age range was between 29 and 110 years old.

Most of them were reported with underlying health conditions, including hypertension (55), diabetes (35), hyperlipidemia (22), obesity (22), and kidney disease (22). One of the fatalities was a bedridden patient.

Of the new cases, 9,180 were found in hospitals and medical services (which includes contact tracing cases), 696 were from a proactive approach at previously reported clusters, 127 were from prisons, and the remaining 12 were imported cases.

A number of 120,156 patients are still under treatment/isolation/medical care. Of that, 3,341 patients are in critical condition including 728 on ventilators. This is roughly 2.78 percent of cases that are critical while 21.7 percent of that is critical enough for a ventilator.

Regarding the non-prison local infections, the highest numbers of patients were reported in Bangkok with 1,785, followed by Samut Prakan with 607, Chonburi with 587, Songkhla with 446, Yala with 445, and Rayong with 355.

A total number of 175,926 people nationwide have received Covid-19 vaccines in the past 24 hours. Of that, 62,276 people had received their first shots, 97,061 people had received their second shots, 16,586 people had received their third shots, and 3 people had their fourth shots.

As of today, 12,494 people fully recovered in the past 24 hours and have been released from field hospitals and quarantine centers. Thailand has now reached a total of 1,571,926 cases with 1,435,401 recoveries and a total of 16,369 deaths since the start of the pandemic.
