A 62-year-old female motorbike driver has been pronounced dead at the scene after her motorbike collided with a trailer truck in Si Racha. She had been attempting to drive between two large trucks when the accident took place.

Emergency responders were notified of the accident on Monday (September 20th) in the afternoon on the Motorway Frontage Road in Nongkham.

The first responders arrived at the intersection to find two trailer trucks on the road. One driver, Mr. Teeranan Jantakeeree, 29, was waiting at the scene for police.

A second trailer truck was found in the right lane. The driver, Mr. Boonmee Rittijandee, 41, was also waiting for the police. Payom’s damaged motorbike was found at the rear of the truck with a rice cooker and a bag of rice.

At this stage, police believed that Payom had lost control of her motorbike when she tried to go between the two trucks. One of the trucks was moving at the green light and she fell between the two vehicles.

Police are continuing their investigation and deciding if any potential legal charges will take place for the truck drivers.
