The following is our weekly feature in which we highlight the top local stories in our area, Pattaya and Chonburi, for the past week. The number of stories differs from week to week.

These are chosen and curated by our editorial team and are designed for our readers to get a quick “catch-up” of important stories they may have missed. 1.  Koh Larn reopens to visitors and you don’t have to be vaccinated from Covid-19

Koh Larn has officially reopened to visitors and has dropped a previous rule that only vaccinated visitors against Covid-19 could visit. Learn more here:

2.  Chonburi eases Covid-19 restrictions in the province

After a month and a half, restrictions were eased in some business sectors. At the top of the list for measures that delighted local residents were restaurants for dine-in (without proof of vaccination), beaches, and foot massages.

3.  18 people arrested for holding an illegal birthday party in Pattaya

Yes, birthday parties (and for that matter, any type of party) is still against the law due to Covid-19 precautions. In fact, gathering with more than ONE person over alcohol is against the law still.

4.  Mass Sinopharm vaccination campaign has begun in the Pattaya area

Another small step towards a hopeful further reopening of the city to tourists and the economy, especially the still shuttered entertainment sector.

5.  Is Pattaya REALLY opening for vaccinated foreign tourists in October?
