The eighth lot of Sinopharm’s Covid-19 vaccines have arrived in Thailand and are ready to be distributed nationwide this Friday, Chulabhorn Hospital officials confirmed today, September 5th.

Chulabhorn Hospital revealed online that an additional two million doses have arrived at Suvarnabhumi Airport, marking an accumulative number of 11 million Sinopharm doses that already arrived in Thailand from June 20th to September 5th.

“The vaccines will be distributed to organizations, juristic persons, and hospitals that have applied for the Sinopharm’s allocation as specified by Chulabhorn Royal Academy. They will be gradually delivered to the public from September 10th onwards,” the hospital stated.

Some of the vaccines will also be distributed in Pattaya as a part of the Sinopharm vaccine campaign set in several locations, which have already started across the city at the beginning of September. This is expected to be a second lot of privately purchased vaccines for the area.

Pattaya City mayor Sonthaya Khunploem revealed last week that 60,000 doses of Sinopharm are already available for the first scheduled inoculation. It is expected that Pattaya will have 30,000 people vaccinated with the Sinopharm vaccine in the next four weeks, especially the elderly and vulnerable.
