A 40-year-old Chonburi man suffered moderate injuries after he crashed his luxury sedan into power poles in the front of a pharmacy in the Mueang Chonburi district.

Emergency responders were notified of the accident earlier this week around 8:00 P.M. in Soi Yailuck, Na Pa.

First responders arrived at the scene to find the damaged Mercedes Benz and two damaged power poles. This was directly in front of a pharmacy whose owner had alerted police and rescue workers to the accident.

The driver, Mr. Kaew Huad, 40, was found inside the sedan and had suffered several moderate injuries. He was taken to a local hospital for medical assistance.

Mrs. Paipatchom Chaiphon, 40, the pharmacy owner nearby, told Mueang Chonburi police, “I was about to close my pharmacy when I heard a loud noise. I ran out and discovered that Mr. Huad had crashed near my place of business. I immediately called the police and rescue services for assistance. The accident caused damage to a sign for my shop and a spirit house on my property.”

Mueang Chonburi police are continuing their investigation and will be determining if legal charges will take place regarding the alleged property damage. The exact cause of the accident is still under investigation as well.
