An elderly local resident has lost his arm after he was attacked by his neighbor’s dogs in the Panat Nikhom district earlier this week.

Rescue workers were notified of the accident on Wednesday (August 18th) at a house in Thung Kwang.

A video version of this story can be seen below:

They and The Pattaya News arrived at the house to find the injured man, Mr Juea ‘Keang’ Kitijutirakun, 79. He had sustained serious injuries on his arms from dog bites. He was taken to a local hospital for urgent medical assistance.

Local residents nearby told The Pattaya News that Mr. Juea lives alone at his house. He likes to give free vegetables that he grows to his neighbors and his main passion is gardening.

Ms. Korakorn and Ms. Nattananya Sittikun, 29 who are the owners of the dogs in question told The Pattaya News, “We have four dogs, Mr. Keang brought lemons for us but no one was home.”

“He tried to drop a bag of lemons from the fence into the house. One of the dogs bit his arm before other dogs followed.”

“We are willing to take responsibility on this incident and help Mr. Keang. We will put a sign on the fence to warn about the fierce dogs.”

Mr. Banlue Saelao, who is a rescue worker, told Pattaya News reporters, “We were notified later that Mr. Keang had to have his right arm amputated because his arm was seriously injured.”

Mr. Kaeng remains at a hospital and is recovering, according to doctors. It is unknown if any legal charges will take place and the victim has not released a public statement. As stated the owners of the dogs have taken full responsibility and will be assisting Mr. Kaeng.
