Pattaya pizza operator supports area medical workers with free pizza during fight against Covid-19

Pattaya –

A Pattaya pizza operator recently gave 150 sets of food to medical staffers in Pattaya, stating that he wanted to show his support to medical staff helping fight against Covid-19 locally.

Mr. Eakkachai Mahamat, 34, the owner of ‘Big Daddy’s Pizza’ gave 50 sets of pizza to the Pattaya City Hospital which was received by the Pattaya City Mayor Sonthaya Khunploem, 50 sets to the Banglamung Hospital, and 50 sets to Sawang Boriboon Thammasatan Foundation earlier this week.

You can see a video of the handout here:

Mr. Eakkachai told The Pattaya News, “I own and operate a homemade pizza delivery service and restaurant near Soi Samakketam Temple in Nongprue.”

“I wanted medical staffers and emergency responders to get clean and healthy food as they are working hard to take care of Covid -19 patients,” Eakkachai stated.

Pattaya remains a “maximum control zone” currently in Thailand, which means strict Covid-19 related measures like the closure of all “non-essential” businesses except supermarkets and pharmacies, a mandatory overnight curfew, and even the closure of beaches, pools, and parks. There is no immediate sign of the strict measures being lifted anytime soon that have put many people out of work. Chonburi province continues to report over 1,000 Covid-19 cases a day, although the vast majority are asymptomatic. Additionally, an ongoing vaccination program to fight against Covid-19 is rolling out.
