RECAP: Thailand reports 14,150 daily Covid-19 infections with 118 additional deaths, 138,892 new vaccinated people reported nationwide in the past 24 hours

Thailand discovered a total of 14,150 daily Covid-19 infections with 118 additional deaths in the past 24 hours, the Center for Covid-19 Situation Administration (CCSA) reported today, July 27th.

The fatalities were 64 men and 54 women from Bangkok (40), Nonthaburi (20), Nakhon Pathom (9), Suphan Buri (5), Phetchaburi (4), Narathiwas (4), Pattani (4), Chonburi (4), Kampangpetch (3), Pathum Thani (3), Kalasin (2), Nakhon Sawan (2), Ayuthaya (2), Nakhon Nayok (2), Chachoengsao (1), Ratchaburi (1), Samut Songkram (1), Saraburi (1), Chiang Mai (1), Sukothai (1), Nakhon Ratchasima (1), Si Saket (1), Sakhon Nakhon (1), Yala (1), Songkhla (1), Trang (1), Samut Sakhon (1), and Samut Prakan (1). The age range was between 25 and 96 years old.

Most of them were reported with underlying health conditions, including hypertension, diabetes, hyperlipidemia, kidney disease, obesity, stroke, lung disease, and heart disease. One of the fatalities was a bedridden patient, one was 30-weeks pregnant. 15 of them reportedly refused to reveal their health conditions.

Of the new cases, 10,407 were found in hospitals and medical services (which includes contact tracing cases), 3,459 were from a proactive approach at previously reported clusters, 245 were from prisons, and the remaining 39 were imported cases.

Regarding the non-prison local infections, the highest numbers of patients were reported in Bangkok with 2,635, followed by Samut Sakhon with 1,092, Chonburi with 884, Samut Prakan with 719, Nonthaburi with 536, and Chachoengsao with 486.

A total number of 138,892 people nationwide have received Covid-19 vaccines in the past 24 hours. Of that, 122,137 people had received their first shot and 16,755 people had received their second shots.

As of today, 9,168 people fully recovered in the past 24 hours and have been released from field hospitals and quarantine centers. Thailand has now reached a total of 526,828 cases with 350,643 recoveries and a total of 4,264 deaths since the start of the pandemic.
