Rayong-
The Rayong Public Health Office yesterday (July 26th) has announced 411 new confirmed cases of Covid-19.
This makes a total of 5,609 cases of Covid-19 in Rayong since the start of this recent round of infections in early April.
Of those 411 new cases, 181 were found through contact tracing and in hospitals, and 230 were found through active case-finding.
Of those 411 new cases, 362 are found in Rayong while 49 new cases were transferred from other provinces for medical care.
Of those 5,609 total cases, 4,583 are Thais while 1,026 are foreigners/migrant workers.
Additionally, 2,507 people in total have now been released from medical care and fully recovered with a total of 19 recorded deaths since this current wave began.
The Rayong Governor Channa Eiamsang told reporters, “The Covid-19 situation in Rayong is getting more serious. We request your cooperation to avoid unnecessary traveling across the province. Please refrain from participating in activities and follow on the measures strictly.”
“For those who has been to the area where the pandemic occurred, please go to get a screening test as soon as possible.” Governor Channa concluded.
As of press time, however, Rayong remains a “Red” province, and not dark-red like Chonburi, which would mean additional restrictions and business closures mandated by the government.
