National –
Private and public bus services in Thailand have announced a temporary halt of all traveling routes nationwide to comply with the government’s request to refrain from unnecessary interprovincial traveling, starting today, July 21st.
Transport Company Limited, Thailand’s main public bus service, stated that the company would cancel all routes to the north, northeast, east, and south of Thailand from today until August 2nd or until further notice.
All passengers who were scheduled to travel during the period are advised to request a ticket refund or postpone the trip until the end of 2021 at the ticket office of the bus terminal across the country. Passengers whose tickets were bought with state welfare cannot request a refund but still can postpone the trip.
The country’s prominent private bus service Nakhonchai Air also announced the cancellation of all routes starting today until further notice, following the Ministry of Transport’s policy.
A new date of all passengers’ destinations can be rescheduled within 365 days from the date specified on the original ticket. If any passengers do not do so, the system will automatically postpone the ticket without specifying the travel date. They can also request a full refund via Line: @nca.refund.
