Chonburi Covid -19 cases rise to 636 with three new deaths

The Chonburi Department of Public Health announced 636  new and confirmed cases of Covid-19 today with three new deaths, July 21^st with three new deaths.

244 people were also released and recovered yesterday in Chonburi.

This makes a total of 17,163 cases of Covid-19 in the current round of infections, with 7,441 still under medical care/supervision, and with a total of 85 recorded deaths in Chonburi since the start of this recent round of infections in early April. The details on yesterday’s three new deaths were not given, which is standard for the health department.

Additionally, 9,637 people in total have now been released from medical care and recovered in Chonburi since this current wave began.

The district-level new cases were as follows today:

Mueang Chonburi 106, Si Racha 164, Banglamung (Pattaya) 163, Panat Nikhom 26, Sattahip 32, Ban Bueang 82, Pan Thong 21, Bor Thong 16, Ko Chan, 2, Nong Yai 7, and 17 new cases transferred from other provinces for medical care.

The details on the cases are as follows:

1. Cluster, Prime Products Industry, Bor Thong District, 14 cases
2. Cluster, Excellent Manufacturing Co, Ltd in Ban Bueng, 7 cases
3. A business in Mueang Chonburi, 15 cases (was not specifically named)
4. A business in Si Racha, 8 cases (was not specifically named)
5. Central Festival Pattaya Beach, 7 cases
6. A risky career, meeting a lot of people, 11 cases
7. 1 medical personnel
8. Honglin Electric Power Technology (Thailand) Co., Ltd., 1 case
9. Provided a history of traveling to Bangkok, 3 cases
10. Close contacts of a confirmed patient
    • Close persons in general, 25 cases
    • Joined a party, 4 cases
    • Family members, 199 cases
    • Co-workers at workplaces, 87 cases
11. Close contacts of confirmed patients (under investigation), 119 cases
12. Under investigation in general, 135 cases

A total of 516 close contact searches were received today with 2,078 initial proactive searches, and more proactive search reports are pending.

There are currently, in Chonburi, clusters of Covid-19 at 15 establishments and five markets, 10 construction worker camps, and four communities.

The Chonburi Public Health Office last night, July 20th, has released a timeline to inform people who went to specific places this month to notify health authorities and monitor their health. The following is an English translation of the release.
