Alleged Sattahip drug dealer arrested with crystal methamphetamine and yaba pills

Sattahip –

An alleged drug dealer has been arrested with crystal methamphetamine and yaba (methamphetamine) pills in Satthip yesterday (July 7th).

A team from the Sattahip Police arrested Mr. Nawin Triupot, 24. He was caught while reportedly delivering drugs to his customers near a beach in Sattahip.

Police seized 159.54 grams of crystal methamphetamine and 1,615 methamphetamine pills, commonly called “Yaba” in Thailand

Nawin is facing charges of illegal possession of Category 1 Drugs.

Nawin reportedly admitted to police he bought drugs from a supplier he named only as Ms. Ice via Facebook. He claimed that he got into dealing drugs because of the Covid-19 pandemic and lack of other jobs due to government restrictions and measures. He also claimed that he thought he wouldn’t get caught as police seemed to be busy, according to him, enforcing Covid-19 restrictions vs. policing drug crime.

Sattahip police are continuing their investigation to determine the exact identity of the so-called Ms. Ice, which is almost certainly a pseudonym. Ice is another word for crystal methamphetamine in Thailand.
