Photo tour: A look at Pattaya, Thailand area beaches currently during Covid-19 with millions of less tourists

The following is a photo gallery taken by our Thai reporters originally for our Thai side of our press here.

We wanted to show our readers, especially those currently not in Pattaya, the current condition of Pattaya area beaches post Covid-19, which have seen significant improvement according to many residents.  This has a lot to do with literally millions of fewer visitors. In 2019, Pattaya was the 19th most visited city in the world with just shy of 10 million foreign visitors and 7 million visitors. Post Covid-19, that number has plummeted around 97% according to Pattaya City Officials.

Pattaya (and Chonburi) remains under fairly strict Covid-19 restrictions but the beaches are open for relaxing, with social distancing rules of course. Here are some selected photos from the following beaches:
