Chonburi orders temporary closure of three markets in Pattaya and two companies in Banglamung and Si Racha

Chonburi –

The Chonburi Governor, Phakkhrathon Thianchai, ordered the closure of two companies in Banglamung and Si Racha yesterday evening July 2nd, 2021. Meanwhile three markets in Pattaya are temporarily closed. The companies closed are;

  1. Closure of ‘Yian Hai Electronics Company Limited’ in Thung Sukhala, Si Racha from July 2nd to July 11th.
  2. Closure of Huay Yai Jeen ice factory in Huayyai, Banglamung from July 2nd to July 15th .

Owners, operators, workers, and other people involved must strictly follow the order. Relevant agencies and officials will assist those who have been temporarily stopped from working and quarantined, regardless of their Covid-19 status.

The order takes effect from yesterday (July 2nd) onward.

Meanwhile Pattaya City officials report after proactive cases finding from 1,450 people at three markets which are New Market Nakla, Amorn Nakhon and Lan Poe Naklua, that 37 people are confirmed with Covid -19.

Pattaya City has ordered the temporary closure of New Market Naklua and Amorn Nakhon Market for three days and Lan Poe Market for one day.

The Pattaya City Deputy Mayor Manot Nongyai told Pattaya News Reporters, “We have to clean these markets and to control the spread of the virus as soon as possible.”

“The main problem right now is people not taking tests or refusing to report symptoms of Covid-19 hoping to self isolate instead.” Manot said

The current plan, according to Manot, is to accelerate vaccination efforts at the markets and high risk areas.
