RECAP: Thailand announces 4,161 new cases of Covid -19 and 51 additional deaths

Thailand –

Thailand reported 4,047 new domestic cases with 72 confirmed cases at prisons as well as 19 imported cases, marking a total of 4,089 daily infections, with 51 additional deaths in the past 24 hours.

This makes a total of 211,589 cases of Covid-19 since the start of this recent round of infections in early April.

Additionally, 169,249 people in total have now been released from medical care and fully recovered since this current wave began. 3,569 people were released yesterday. The chart below shows total cases and recoveries since the original outbreak last year, however.

Among the local 4,047 new domestic cases, excluding the cases at prisons, the highest number of infections listed by provinces was discovered in Bangkok with 1,276, Samut Prakan with 322, Chonburi with 320, Samut Sakorn with 291, and Pathum Thani with 228.

The fatalities were 31 men and 20 women (50 Thais, 1 Chinese)aged between 15-92

Most of them were reported with underlying health conditions, including high blood pressure, heart disease, diabetes, high levels of fats in the blood, kidney disease, strokes, lung disease, cancers, and obesity.

One of them was pregnant and six of them did not reportedly have any health conditions.

A total of 8,981,478 doses of Covid-19 in Thailand have been given so far.
